The image shows a car being driven erratically by a bottle of wine. Behind the car lie injured people, a cyclist, a woman and a man. The image appears to show that the driver of the car has caused the injury to the people, and has no concern for their welfare or that his actions have led to their injuries.

People who drink alcoholic beverages and then drive often lose their ability to drive carefully, and have no social conscience to the consequences of their irresponsible behaviour. Some of the times this behaviour leads to tragic consequences which could have wide implications for society, such as the lost of a family member, damage to property or long term injury.

However, the reasons that people drink alcohol need to be understood so preventative measures can be implemented. Yet, stronger regulations of the sale of alcohol, together with higher fines and longer prison sentences, may provide the incentives to reduce the increasing frequency of drunk driving.
