東方是太陽出升的地方，古人即認為是萬物交替、初春發生之地。因此，東方就成瞭生命之源，而古代先民又往往把雄偉奇特的東嶽視為神靈，把山神作為祈求風調雨順的對象來崇拜，於是，地處東方的泰山--這個通天拔地的龐然大物便成瞭“萬物孕育之所”的“吉祥之山”、“神靈之宅”瞭。受天命而帝王的“天子”更把泰山看成是國傢統一，權力的象征。為答謝天帝的“授命”之恩，也必到泰山封神祭祀。Ladies and gentlemen, I?m very pleased to take you to hike in Mount Taishan.
