An Ass once found a Lion’s skin which the hunters hsd left out in the sun to dry.He put it on and went towards his native village.All fled at his approach,both men and anials,and he was pround Ass that day.

In his delight he lifted up his voice and brayed,but then everyone knew him,and his owner came up and gave him a sound cudegling for the fright he had caused.And shortly after wards a fox came up to him and said:Ah ,I knew your voice.

Fine clothes many disguise ,but silly words will disclose a fool.

翻譯：從前,有一隻驢發現瞭獵人放在外面曬著的獅子皮。於是它披上獅子皮來到自己所在的村子裡。不管人類還是動物，隻要看見它就都跑得遠遠的。那一天，驢得意極瞭。

興奮之餘，它拔高嗓門叫起來，繼而所有人都認出瞭它。它的主人過來狠狠打瞭它一頓，已教訓他弄得人心惶惶。不一會兒，一隻狐貍走近他：哈，我一聽你的聲音就認出是你瞭。

寓意：華美的外衣或能助人偽裝，但是愚蠢的言辭定會讓人暴露的無遺。
