For this part,you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay entitled The Significance of Industry by commenting on the saying, “If you have a great talents, industry will improve them; if you have but moderate abilities, industry will supply their deficiency .” You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words. Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration.
As Thomas Alva Edison said that genius is one per cent inspiration,ninety-nine per cent perspiration. Learning from Thomas Alva Edison, we would firmly believe that industry leads to success. In the early year, Edison was too stupid to be ordered to quit school. But later, with the help of his mother, Edison drew interests in reading and was very widely read. It was his hard-work learning that offers him the methods and the thoughts. In order to test out the most suitable material of wire, Edison tries more than 3000 materials. Other inventors like Edison who want to invent bulb failed to meet with success because they lost the faith and patience to try. When they failed to try hundreds of wires, they gave up. Edison strongly believed that although he had less talent, but hard working may compensate for capacity deficiency. Finally, he becomes the inventor of the bulb.
