Dear Lily,

I’m delighted to learn that you will be coming to Shanghai during the

summer holidays. I will meet you at the airport and be your guide during

your stay.

I believe there’s a lot for you to see in Shanghai. Yu Garden and the Jade

Buddhist Temple will show you traces of our ancient architecture and

culture. The Bund — the glory of modern Shanghai, — has been an

attraction throughout the 20th century. Modern constructions are also

very popular with tourists. You will be impressed by the Grand Theatre,

where world-famous musical concerts are often held. You reall
